The Yellow House in Leuven: Edouard Remy Residential Care Center

A Recognisable Leuven Landmark

In the heart of Leuven stands the Edouard Remy Residential Care Centre, easily recognised by its iconic yellow house façade, which has become a familiar city landmark.

History and Development
The original building dates back to 1958, serving the local community for decades. In the 1990s, it underwent partial renovation, and on February 7, 2015, a new building on Andreas Vesaliusstraat was officially opened, expanding and modernising the facilities.

Care and Community
Today, the Edouard Remy center provides space for 172 residents, both able-bodied and dependent, offering not only care but also a supportive and community-oriented environment in the heart of Leuven.
