M Leuven has more than 52,500 objects
The museum displays old and new art inspired by Leuven’s versatility. The collection mainly focused on Leuven and Brabant's art production.
The impressive architecture is designed by Belgian top architect Stéphane Beel. The museum is officially opened 2009.
The M-COLLECTION has more than 52,500 objects. In addition to artistic production in Leuven and Brabant from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, there is also a central focus on post-1945 Belgian art.
From medieval sculpture and glittering silver to masterpieces by Dirk Bouts, Jef Lambeaux, Constantin Meunier, and Rogier Van der Weyden. In addition to the permanent collection, M also presents temporary exhibitions.
