Bookmark Old Town Hall
I have bought several lino prints of the Town Hall, including the book mark. The reason is that I have terminated my PhD in 2025 and I wanted to have some souvenirs from that year. I use the bookmark in the book of my thesis. So, that is permanent souvenir combining two point s of 2025.

Lino Print Leuven Town Hall Green with Gold
Working in Leuven as an archaeologist I am very fond of its mediaeval monuments. I also like different techniques of engraving and printing. Lino-prints are usually printed black on white, which is the standard procedure. Therefore, printing in green surrounded by gold is innovative. it goes far beyond what you usually get from a Lino print. Additionally, this combination of green and gold yields a very beneficial effect. That is the reason why I bought it. Frans Doperé

This is a future collector’s item. The print captures an overlooked yet beautiful fragment of Leuven’s diverse cityscape. I love the artist’s choice of framing, highlighting the architectural aesthetic of Vaartkom, as well as the abstraction and the colour palette. Poster-Lino Print, Blue Vaartkom
When thinking about art-work for the city of Leuven, one usually thinks about the Town Hall, the churches and the Begiinhof. However buildings reflecting industrial activities are equally important, but mostly neglected. During the recent renovation campaign of the Vaartkom, the concrete lifting structure was equally preserved as an industrial monument; Therefore I thought that this monument also merited a place in my collection. Upon careful inspection of the print, I also discovered that this print was made in two times, requiring a careful repositioning of the lino the second time. The two blue colours give a special and attractive aspect to this print. I am glad I bought it. Catchy Sights is particularly good in finding the appropriate artists to do the job. Frans Doperé
